Happy in Ohio
Received my Homemaker plus 8 about 3 weeks ago. Love it. Love it. I thought I already had sharp knives in my kitchen until my set arrived. I wish I would have started buying these 20 years ago. My advice for anyone just getting married or just starting a home, purchase a good quality cutlery set. I have yet to hear of one person who was unhappy with their Cutco purchase.

These knives
These knives are just not worth the price they are charging....Yes its nice that they are made in US and they supposedly have a life time warranty but they are truly FUGLY and even the pearl white is border line cheesy. They are sharp but I'm not crazy about the idea of sending back these overpriced pieces of plastic back to get sharpened .I guess they bank on you sharpening them yourself like I have.Although you can't sharpen the "double edged"knives it just isn't worth the time of sending them back.I have had mine for a little over a year now and It makes me sick knowing i spent over 800 bucks just to help out my nephew ."cutco representative"but it was a summer job and i hope he did well.

Best. Knives. Ever.
I purchased my Homemaker plus 8 set TWELVE YEARS ago, and the knives see daily use. They have never needed sharpening. I cannot get over how they have stood up to use over time. I thought they were a bit pricey at first, but over the long term they are actually a great value because I don;t think I will ever need to replace them, at least not for a VERY long time.

Sending Back
Sales person used misrepresentation to sell me the homemaker plus at 8 at an unheard of deal. I was told if I buy this set today, not only would I save $203 on the set, but also get the kitchen tool set for free, a $188 value. So called 4th of July sale. Once I agreed to buy today, he started having problems entering my order, he told me not worry he just was not sure how to code it. He told me he would finish my order at his office. I went ahead and took the deal. Once my order was completed it end up costing me over $900 and I did not get the free kitchen tool set. I was then told you only get the set if you pay full price and that the 8 knives that are included in the set was my free gift. I am now stuck paying shipping cost plus insurance to return the set.
