I've had my Cutco hunting knife with the Double D edge for over 15 years and have cleaned over 100 deer and hogs with this knife. I finally sent it in for sharpening and had forgotten just how sharp they really are. Not that it was dull, just figured it was time for a good sharpening.
This knife was a gift for my husband. He loved it as he got to pick out the knife and the handle. The knife is beautiful and functional. I would recommend this knife to anyone who is on the fence about purchasing a knife like this.

Awesome
I have a couple of Buck Proline knives which I always considered the best available for hunting. I got a Cutco Hunting knife 5 years ago and it is better than the Buck knives. I have dressed many dear, butchered, cut bone and am now just sendinging it in for sharpening. I have bought two as gifts for hunting pals. The Double D egde is awesome. I never go iinto the field without it.......or the garage when it's time to cut the meat!

Hunting Knife
I have had my hunting knife for over 29 years. I lived in Colorado and it was used for Elk, Deer and Antelope. I finally broke down and just sent it back for sharpening. It was still sharp enough to gut and clean an animal but not as sharp as it was when I first got it so when I get it back it should be good for another 30 years. I have not only done my animals but have loaned it to partners when their knifes weren't getting the job done. Highly recommend this knife to anyone wanting a durable, sharp knife that if taken care of will last you a lifetime.
