It's Awesome!!
I cut up tomatoes for my salsa by hand and was having a heck of a time keeping my knives sharp enough. But this knife is incredible! It has remained sharp over a year. this is the best knife I have ever purchased.
It works for everything, tomatoes, cheese, onions..
I absolutely love it!

Best knives ever!
I have owned Cutco knives over 25 years. One year ago, I added the traditional cheese knife to my collection. It is fantastic, not only for cutting cheese, but also slices vegetables with ease. Can even slice tomatoes thin without mangling the tomato! Prior to owning my first Cutco knife, I owned another highly-rated brand, but those knives don't hold a candle to Cutco. I recently gave that set away because I hadn't used it since buying my first few Cutco knives. I bought my daughter and daughter-in-law the carver and trimmer sets for Christmas--just to get them started with these great knives. I am confident that they will become the most used knives in their kitchens, too, as just these two knives can be tops for almost any cutting need!
I am also happy that this product is made in America and carries a forever warranty!

Quality good, service poor
I already own this knife and purchased additional ones for Christmas gifts. I placed my order on November 30 and expected it to arrive before my holiday party at work. I placed four other orders (with other vendors) on the same day. I received free shippping on all other orders, and they arrived by December 7. Today is December 10, and I'm still waiting on my Cutco oder. I just looked, and it wasn't even shipped until December 5 - five days after my order was confirmed. Of course, this is the one vendor that didn't offer free shipping ($20). Frustrating.

More uses than just cheese
I purchased this knife this fall at the Nebraska State Fair. The person selling the knife didn't mention that it was a cheese knife, I think I sliced a cumcumber or other vegi. Anyway, I was sold, bought the knife and it's wonderful for everything. I slice thin slices of prime rib with it last night, perfect thin slices. Highly recommend, I'm buying one for my daughter for Christmas.

Can't live without it
This is the second knife I bought like this. It is my favorite -- I use it for everything, not just cheese. I was so impressed with the first one that I had to get a second one to put in my other home as I could not live without it.
I use this product for:cutting vegetables, slicing really thin slices of cheese

TRADITIONAL? NO. CHEESE? OH PALEEEZE!
I bought this knife at a Log Home Expo when the salesperson had me cut a potato with it! Cheese would be the last thing I would use this knife for. It is the sharpest knife in my drawer & I have Wusthof, Global & other Cutco knives. It's definitely not a peeler but it's a remarkable slicer, dicer & chopper of any vegetable, fruit or melon. It is dangerously sharp, which I love, so be very careful with it !!! Best money I ever spent & I only buy bargains, so that's saying a lot. I'm buying more for wedding & Chritmas gifts! You need to rename this gem of a knife to 'Sharpest Versatility Knife', I bet your sales would double! How about some free shipping deals CUTCO?
I use this product for:potatoes tomatoes onions melons celery etc.

Cheese Knife? more like Everything Knife!
This cheese knife is serrated with smaller teeth than the normal Cutco knifes. We've found it to be great for many things, not just cheese. Tomatoes are especially easy to cut with it.

Glad our rep wouldn't take "no" for an answer!
I've been a Cutco owner since about 1998. Even when my then-roommate used my Chef's knife as a hatchet for the Christmas tree, Cutco was amazing (with their 50% abuse/misue policy), and sold me a replacement asap!
When we were looking to fill in our set, there were pieces we just couldn't see ourselves using. When we tried to nix this cheese knife, our rep, Beda, just held firm and said we would not regret adding it to our (new, larger) block. Well, he was right!!! It's a great knife for cucumbers, veggies and fruit that have the tendency to stick to a knife. They just cut like warm butter and fall away on the cutting board ready to serve.
My advice, "BUY THIS KNIFE!"

Almost too sharp
I must admit I often cut myself using this knife because it is so sharp. But I love this knife so much I bought two. I use one at home and the other in my RV. It is great not only for cheese but also the BEST knife for cutting tomatoes.

Best Knife I have ever owned!
While I never splurge on good cutlery as someone is always handing me down some old pieces and I have plenty, a cheese knife was something I had never owned, nor did I think I would ever need one! How wrong I was! When a friend of my son sold Cutco knives last summer, I thought I really "had" to purchase something. Since we absolutely love cheese, this was a no-brainer. Wow! We love this and haven't even tried it on tomatoes yet! I originally ordered the less expensive handle but didn't like the feel of it - the traditional is so much nicer and more comfortable - well worth the extra cost! I'm sold!
