I Love CutCo.
I'm actually a CutCo salesgirl and received this piece (Petite Carver) in my sample set. Now, if you don't have the Slicer, this is the one I'd recommend for bread, because I myself have not yet been able to get a slicer, but I used this for French bread a few weeks ago and it went right through flawlessly. This is an amazing knife.

9" carver
This is one great knife. But as always be careful as it is very sharp. Cuts like a breez and is fairly comfortable in the hand.

Why would you ever buy anyother knife
I have been using cutco knives for more than ten years and not only do they hold the best edge but they feel good in your hand. I have 8 kids and have a very busy schedule. I would never want to waist my time with dull knives. We love spending time in the kitchen preparing dinner together and the carving knife helps me prepare the meals just the way I want too.
Thanks for making quality that lasts more than a life time!

This is the best knife that we have ever used. It does what it is supposed to and we are sure that it will continue for many years.

Shreds Chicken
I bought the petite carver hoping to use it to carve roast chicken. It shreds the meat. I think the serrated edge is not appropriate for carving poultry, regardless of the claims. The knife is otherwise nice but ridiculously overpriced for what you get.

Very Pleased
From the presentation at our home to the actual use of the product in our kitchen our experience with Cutco has been outstanding!
The Double-D edge is amazingly sharp (watch yourself) and quickly became the knife to reach for. I have used it on Roasts, Turkeys and Chickens with great results on each.
It is great when you pull a knife out of the holder and know that it will cut with ease and not need any sharpening.
Yes the price is a little much, but I am supporting an American company (very important) and the quality is well worth the price.

Thank you Cutco for delivering an excellent product!

Simply Wonderful
I was skeptical about spending this kind of money on a knife. While I cannot afford an entire set, I did choose a few knives that I felt would be practical and useful in our home. I am thrilled with the knives I bought and use each of them almost daily!

Worth every penny
I first bought a petite carver 15 years ago. My husband broke it using it as a crowbar a few years after I bought it and Cutco replaced it--for free and no questions asked! When I lost my second petite carver in our last move, I hated every other knife I tried, so I went online and bought another one. I use it every single day and its worth every cent.

Very disappointed
The first few months, we loved our carving knife. We thought that $90 was way over our budget for a knife but we were told that this knife would last longer than others and would never require sharpening since it is serrated. What sold us was the fact that this knife could cut thru leather, metal and wood and then perfectly slice even the ripest tomato. After only a few months, I feel like I am tearing through foods. Not my idea of a long lasting knife.

Must Have!
This 9" carver is my favorite knife! Have been bereft since the original one disappeared. I use it on everything. It's always sharp, perfectly balanced, and is without a doubt the best knife ever!

Must have this knife !
I LOVE the petite carver .. it is always in use in my kitchen (and rarely for carving since we eat very little meat). I had to get a second one, so that it could be washed occasionally ! It is the perfect size for slicing everything due to the serrated edge. I often slice first with this knife and then chop with the french chef's knife. Could not get along without this knife

First Purchase
Hello, I came to America in 1964, in 1965 I got my first Apt. but I had no Credit, so I bought a Set of Cutco Knifes and they let me pay it of and so I started my Credit in America. Today after 44 years I still have the Cutco set, it really was the best purchase I ever made, , I would recommend the product to everyone. Thank you.

Best Knives Ever
I first used these knives to cut cooked steaks into cubes for taste test at the university where I worked. We never needed to sharpen these knives and they cut smoothly without a lot of pressure. I bought them for my home kitchen and enjoy using them for all my cutting needs. I never use my other knives since buying these.

Wrong knife for my needs
I don't do much carving but that was the only knife the salesman had to show. I should have gone for the Chef Knife. I wish I could have compared knives.

Blessing
My husband used to sell Cutco, 20 years ago. We still have the set he purchased. We are sending them off this week for sharpening, even after 20 years of use, they work better than the brand new knives we recieved as a gift. I will never buy any knife other than a Cutco and I tell all my friends to buy them too. They are WELL worth the money!

Great Knife
Really like the knife. It cuts very easily and smoothly. Hardly any effort and can make thin slices.

Spoiled By The Best
I bought a 9 piece set of CUTCO cutlery, and a set of the table knives, almost 40 years ago for approximately $350. The was a lot of money for a single working girl back then. My mother thought that I was nuts! I wasn't even engaged. It was one of the best purchased I've ever made and today that same set of knives would cost well over $1,000. I've never had the knives sharpend, but they are still quite sharp. I always sing the praises of CUTCO whenever the subject of cutlery comes up. When I travel, if I know that I will be cooking, I take the pairing knife and the small carving knife along. I simply cannot use other knives. Unfortunately, I left the trimmer in Florida one summer and haven't replaced it and my pairing knife has fallen into the bottom of the dish washer and a part of the handle melted, but it sitll works well. One of these days I will send my pairing knife to you for repair and shapening and hopefully
will replace my trimmer soon. Thanks for making such a fine product right here in the USA!
