I bought a 9 piece set of CUTCO cutlery, and a set of the table knives, almost 40 years ago for approximately $350. The was a lot of money for a single working girl back then. My mother thought that I was nuts! I wasn't even engaged. It was one of the best purchased I've ever made and today that same set of knives would cost well over $1,000. I've never had the knives sharpend, but they are still quite sharp. I always sing the praises of CUTCO whenever the subject of cutlery comes up. When I travel, if I know that I will be cooking, I take the pairing knife and the small carving knife along. I simply cannot use other knives. Unfortunately, I left the trimmer in Florida one summer and haven't replaced it and my pairing knife has fallen into the bottom of the dish washer and a part of the handle melted, but it sitll works well. One of these days I will send my pairing knife to you for repair and shapening and hopefully will replace my trimmer soon. Thanks for making such a fine product right here in the USA!
