Would you believe I bought my original full set plus table knives in 1953 ! ! ! I have had to replace a few, broken blades but still have most of the original ones plus the old brown holders ! We have suggested (they have bought) to several friends. Have 4 children , got starter sets for two,assorted ones for the other two. Add to them frequently.

Best Purchase Ever
I bought the set of steak knives with some others to start off with. I have since ordered some more to add to the knives. I cook all the time and use them in my everyday cooking. They are excellent in cutting no matter what is needed to be cut. They fit in your hands nicely. I still have some of my other knives and I do not use them, they are not a sharp as the Cutco knives are. I also got the shears and they are also very nice to use and it is just not the kitchen that I use them in!

AMAZING
Purchased the 4" paring knife from cutco earlier this summer, just to help out a friend that was selling them. Turns out he was helping me out instead. In all honesty, this has got to be the best knife I have ever held in my hands. This knife stays sharp and fits nicely in my hand. I use it for everything, and it gets used alot. I have a very large garden that takes up a whole corner lot in my neighborhood, and my wife and I can and cook tons of stuff all summer long, and guess which knife we use...thats right, my cutco paring knife. It makes easy work of all my tasks. I can't wait until I get a few more, then the wife and I wont have to share. Thanks again Cutco!!!!

4 inch paring knife a disappointment
it was razor sharp when we got it and since it is much more expensive than any other knife we have, it has been used sparingly ,none the less, it has not held a sharp edge that I would expect for a high dollar knife.
I have a lot of knives and know well how to sharpen.
