Would you believe I bought my original full set plus table knives in 1953 ! ! ! I have had to replace a few, broken blades but still have most of the original ones plus the old brown holders ! We have suggested (they have bought) to several friends. Have 4 children , got starter sets for two, assorted ones for the other two. Add to them frequently.

Best Purchase Ever
I bought the set of steak knives with some others to start off with. I have since ordered some more to add to the knives. I cook all the time and use them in my everyday cooking. They are excellent in cutting no matter what is needed to be cut. They fit in your hands nicely. I still have some of my other knives and I do not use them, they are not a sharp as the Cutco knives are. I also got the shears and they are also very nice to use and it is just not the kitchen that I use them in!

Cutco Handles

We have a Bed and Breakfast and knives are an important part of our kitchen. Cutco knives are great and stay sharp for a long time. Be very careful when using them as they are extremely sharp, especially the serrated blades.
The one draw back we have found is that the handles on the ones we have are a very dangerous shape. It allows them to sit on a flat surface with the sharp side of the blade in the UP position. Have come very close to cutting myself a few times, but have now developed the habit of making sure the sharp side of the blade is not UP. Other than that, they are a great product.
Response from CUTCO:By KathleenMarketingSeptember 29, 2011
The handle of CUTCO knives are designed with the cutting experience in mind. The ergonomic design offers a comfortable sure-grip for large or small, and left or right hands. Your solution of taking care when laying the knife down so the knife is facing away from the user is the appropriate action to take..

Shockingly sharp
My son sold Cutco briefly, which means I was his first client. I purchased several different knives from him. When he went into the military, I purchased his set from him. I have been nothing short of thrilled with these knives.
I will purchase more, as I get the money to do so.

4" paring knife
I love this knife with only one exception.
When I put this knife aside on my cutting board, it tends to rest on its back with the sharp edge facing up. This is an accident waiting to happen. CutCo's designers should rectify this design flaw.
Otherwise, I love this knife and have been using it every day for the past six years. It sure keeps and edge!

Excellent
I have been waiting for a longer paring knife and have finally bought the 4" one. It is long enough for larger fruits like apples and oranges. It's exactly what I've wanted. Like all Cutco knives, it's truly a sharp, wonderful culinary tool. If you prefer a smaller knife instead of a large Chef's model, then this will please you. It's perfect for mincing shallots and garlic too. I love the hamdle and the balance is excellent. Great for smaller and larger hands.

Steak Knives
I bought my Cutco steak knife set more than 30 years ago at a home party.
I still use them everyday and when my Dollar Store paring knife won't slice, I get out my trusty steak knife to slice a lime. They still cut like new. Now I'm going to buy a Cutco paring knife.

4" Paring Knife
Excellent purchase that does exactly what we needed it to do: Cut veggies and other small items.
It's razor sharp, handles the dishwasher just fine and is a fine addition to any kitchen's knife block.
Definitely worth the money!

Bird's beak knife
I own practically all of your Cutco knives I have others however, do not use them.
My newest purchase is the "birds beak" and I absolutely love it. I cut up oranges and grapefruit and other fruits and use m birds beak. I do 5 or 6 grapefruit at a time. I score them with the beak and peel them then I segment all of them for later eating. All I have to do then is "eat." No messing around with skin or anything. The beak goes right into the segment of the grapefruit and cuts my work time in half. I absolutely found a gold mine in this knife. I also bought the Santoku knives and love them too.
I want Cutco to make a 3 inch Santoku with a wider blade maybe a 2 inch blade. I have one from another company and love the size hate the knife. I want Cutco to make it. I use it for prep work and it is a great size. I use the small Santoku a lot too.
I bought my first set of knives from Cutco maybe 50 years ago. The handles were shorter and for me I like them much better. To me the new ones are too long for a small hand. Maybe some people like them but I know the difference from using both size handles. Still in all I love my Cutco and IF they make the wider blade Santoku I will be the first to purchase it.
Thank you, Marlene Micco, California

cut above
I bought this knife for my 19 year old son to get started on his kitchen utensils he loves great quality and won't settle for less then the best. I have to say he's very happy and I was a bit worried about the whole idea of kitchen utensils for a young man at Christmas, but for the practical guy it was perfect.

Paring Knives
I have had Cutco Knives for at 15 years now and they are just as good today as they were when I originally purchased them. We have purchased Cutco knives for gifts for relatives and everyone enjoys using them. Great products.

Love it!
Your bird's beak paring knife intrigued me so I bought it. It is like cutting through warm butter when paring an apple or cutting a peach off of the pit. Absolutely don't know how I have lived without it.

A Cutco Standard
Our original paring knife disappeared at a Redskins tailgate event. I can't imagine why we waited more than a year to replace it. Great knife. I won't be without it again.

World's BEST knives!!!!
I bought them to help a relative with his sales, but after using them, I will buy more because I experienced their superior quality. My family and friends who have tried them now want Cutco for themselves. My son declares "I'm a believer!" He hunts and keeps his knives razor sharp. After each hunting experience he has to sharpen his. But, after he used a Cutco knife he says he has never seen one STAY sharp. It was still as sharp after hours of use, as it was when he started.
