Sharp, Versatile Kitchen Staple
My mother had a uni-directional peeler that she has had since the 1970's, and she always insisted that it worked fine. However, it was the most dull and difficult peeler to use, and it peeled only for right-handed people who peel relatively smooth potatoes or carrots toward themselves. After getting frustrated when trying to peel lots of potatoes and apples, I bought her the Cutco peeler for Christmas. She mildly admitted that it worked well for carrots and potatoes. She turned into a huge fan, however, when she peeled squash with the peeler. Peeling squash is not the easiest of tasks, especially with a dull, antiquated peeler, but she said peeling squash with this Cutco peeler was like cutting through butter or peeling a thin-skinned carrot. I'ved used this peeler frequently, and I love it, too. Bottom line: This peeler is sharp, easy to use for left-handed and right-handed people, and it peels anything. Definitely worth the investment.

What a find!
I originally bought this for my mother, who has arthritis in her hands. She raved about it so much I bought one for myself, and also for my son who just got his first apartment. It is a success on all fronts. I have never been very adept at using peelers except for carrots, but this one is so easy to use I have no trouble using it for potatoes and other veggies for which I used to use a paring knife. I love this peeler! I plan to buy more for other family members next Christmas!

must have
my mom is elderly and loves to cook, she has used our cutco vegetable peeler for about ten years, when we encountered a problem with it, i was relieved to learn just how eazy it was to have it fixed. My mother insisted that she must have her cutco vegetable peeler because her hands hurt with other peelers. Cutco fixed the issue in a timely manner. I had to order one for my friend because no other peeler comes close...we're hooked on cutco....Go Cutco!!! You Rock!!!!

Really great peeler
At first I thought this peeler was a little pricey. But after using it these past 6 months I've got to say it is the best I've ever owned. The grip is very comfortable in my hands and doesn't slip. The blade is as sharp as the first time I used it.

Great Gift Purchase
My husband and I both love the peeler. All three knives were gifts and they all loved them. We never recieved the Shears holder, instead they sent us a new pair of shears. I still have them in the box and had intended to call you about the mix up. If you could send me the holder and a postage box then I can mail the shears back to you. I love my shears very much and would love to have the holder to protect them. Thank you!

You'll never need another peeler!
I have always hated peelers - none of them worked very well - went through dozens - until I tried the Cutco Vegetabe Peeler! You will never buy another peeler. I frequently give them as gifts; they are so appreciated!

Really Great Purchase
The peeler operates so smoothly. No more sore fingers or hand from "working" to get the peels off. Peeling all those apples for homemade applesauce is going to be a breeze. Thanks Cutco !!!

This is the best vegetable peeler I have ever used. I don't just peel with it, I use it to cut ultra thin slices.

I loved the peeler on carrots, however, using it on potatoes wasn't as great.

The best
I have used several peelers over years and this is by far the best. I juice daily so I'm doing a lot of peeling and this tool is exceptional in it's performance, and it is very easy to clean. The blade has stayed sharp and I've had it over 3 years!

My favorite peeler
This peeler is wonderful! I even let my 8 year old daughter use it under my supervision. It is comfortable to hold, and makes peeling any fruit or vegetable so quick and easy.. I am ordering a second one to have ...

Best Peeler Ever
OK...if anyone says this is not the best peeler ever then there is something wrong with them!!! They must work for a competitor. I actually hid my peeler from my ex when we were divorcing because I wanted it!!! I ended up giving it to my sister-in-law because she has MS.(That's why I came to this site to get me another one!!) She loves it and now her mom wants one too...looks like I will be buying Cutco for Christmas presents!! :-) It just melts the peeling off of everything with no effort. Love it!!!

This is by far the best vegetable peeler I have ever owned/used. I have arthritis in my hands and the soft ergonomic shaped handle makes all difference in the world when using it. The blades just glide along the peel and the job is done in no time! I actually own 2 of these awesome peelers and would recommend them for anyone.

best peeler ever
The cutco peeler is the best - I wouldn't have any other. It's so sharp, easy to use and peels everything. Christmas gifts all around!

I also have several knives and love them. My husband purchased a hunting knife and needed to have it sharpened after many more hours than any other knife - we sent it in and received a new knife in days! Unbelievable service.

WOW!
Had always used a knife (Cutco!) to peel veggies until I got this with a set. This thing is super! I even use it to peel fresh tomatoes rather than the old way of plunging them in boiling water for a second-just trim the ends and peel away! Every Christmas I get a piece of Cutco for my daughters and the peeler is what they're getting this year! Never dreamed it would be this good to use a peeler instead of a knife and I've had this one for at least 8 years now.

Vegetable Peeler
I simply don't like it. It does not peel cleanly, misses a lot of peel, have to go over the same area several times. Awkward for me to use it.

love to use all the time
I just wanted to say that out of the 3 items I purchased, I find that I have used the peeler more than the other two which were the scissors, and a basic serrated knife.
I love them all, but the scissors are not as easy to use as I thought they would be and they were the most expensive item. The knife is very sharp and with little ones around, I have to keep it put up, and don't use it as often due to fear of it being left out by others.
for the money, the peeler is awesome and I plan on future purchases sometimes in the future. thank you

only veg peeler I would use
Would I recommend this item to a friend? You betcha and I have many times over. I have been using mine for years. I love it and all cutco products. The veggie peeler makes peeling easy and fast. I have never cared for veg peelers and my Mom always used a knife till I bought her one of these she loves it too. Thanks Cutco for really being what you advertise to be.
